Martin Hawkins
Martin, the liability team leader, has worked in the insurance industry since 1980 and has held underwriting positions with Commercial Union and Zurich. Prior to joining NEWLINE in 2003, Martin was a Casualty Manager for Gerling UK.

Alex Das
Alex commenced his liability insurance career in 1993 with Iron Trades Insurance Company Limited (now part of QBE). He joined NEWLINE in October 2003 having previously held a Senior Liability Underwriter position at Gerling UK.

James May
James joined NEWLINE in February 2007 as a Liability underwriter. He commenced his insurance career in 1999 and has experience as both a Liability underwriter and broker, with Independent Insurance and Heath Lambert, respectively.

Keith Irwin
Keith joined NEWLINE in 2008 having worked in the UK Insurance market for 25 years initially with General Accident and subsequently with Brit Insurance and Towergate. Keith has been underwriting property, fleet and general liability business in his previous roles and has an extensive knowledge of the UK Regional Broker market

Rob Hands
Rob entered the insurance industry in 2001 as a graduate trainee with Alleghany Syndicate, (Alleghany Syndicate became Talbot Underwriting in 2002). In 2004, Rob joined Newline Syndicate 1218 in London as a specialist Financial Institutions underwriter. In 2007, he relocated to Singapore to assume the role of Chief Underwriting Officer of Newline Asia. Rob earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nottingham.
