Liability - Why Purchase Cover?

Businesses constantly come into contact with third parties, either directly in person, with visitors coming to or working in their premises, or indirectly through their products which are purchased by third parties. It is fundamental that businesses need to have insurance in place to protect themselves against their legal liability to pay damages to people who are injured or whose property is damaged as a result of their negligence.

Public Liability provides coverage for the legal liability to pay damages and legal costs to those who are injured, but who are not employees, and/or whose property is damaged arising out of the activities of the insured.

Products Liability provides coverage for the legal liability to pay damages and legal costs to third parties arising out of injury or damage caused by the insured's product.

Employers Liability provides coverage for the legal liability to pay damages and legal costs to those employees who are injured in the course of their employment.
