Brian Young - CEO Global Insurance and London Market Operations
Brian joined OdysseyRe in 1996. He transferred to in London in 2002 before returning to the United States in 2008 to assume his new role which includes responsibility for the group’s U.S. Insurance Division. Brian has over 20 years of experience in the insurance business as an underwriter and business leader. Prior to joining OdysseyRe, Brian worked for Transatlantic Re in both New York and London for nine years.
Carl Overy - Chief Executive Officer - London Market Division
Carl was appointed as the CEO of the London Market Division in 2008, he joined in June 2001 and was promoted to Chief Actuary in May 2002 when he was responsible for the reserving and pricing of business underwritten in Newline Syndicate 1218. Carl has more than fifteen years experience of insurance and reinsurance in the London Market.
Stephen Gordon - Active Underwriter
Stephen has been the Active Underwriter at Newline Syndicate 1218 since 2000. He has over 25 years underwriting and management experience in the London MarketStephen has been the Active Underwriter at Newline Syndicate 1218 since 2000. He has over 30 years experience in the insurance sector and during this time has assumed a range of underwriting and management roles specialising in liability and financial lines business. Prior to joining NEWLINE Stephen worked at Reliance National Europe for ten years.
Robert Kastner - Head of Claims
Robert has been Head of Claims of the London Market Division since joining in 2004. He graduated from the University of Buckingham with a law degree, passed the Law Society Finals Examination and is an admitted solicitor. Robert also has four years experience practicing law in New York having passed the New York Bar Exam. His prior experience includes six years in private practice with Lovell's and Eversheds.
Neil Duncan - Chief Actuary
Neil joined NEWLINE in 2006 as Branch Actuary and was promoted to Chief Actuary in 2008. Prior to this he worked for Alea London as a reinsurance pricing actuary and for five years in commercial lines at Royal & Sun Alliance.
